The New Drilling Connector Takes the Challenge by Horizontal Wells and Large Displacement Wells
Vallourec recently released the VAM x-force product, a high-performance drilling connector that can perform drilling operations in the most demanding conditions. VAM x-force has the highest torque performance in the rotating-shoulder connection, the longest endurance and the lowest overall cost. Through the combination of traditional double shoulder design and thread profile, VAM x-force has excellent mechanical properties, operational performance and economic benefits. The design of the curve thread increases the surface area of the torque and reduces the stress on the cross section. Therefore, the VAM x-force product has the advantages of long endurance, deep buckle and no need to guide the shoe. The product has high torque and hydraulic performance and it can meet the drilling needs of the most challenging horizontal Wells and large displacement Wells.
